It all started back in 2011 when I was hired as an apprentice. I was able to grow my clientele and build a foundation for my successful career.
In 2014 I branched out to create my own small, independently operated business, renting space within a salon. I became my own boss! There were so many responsibilities I took on on top of servicing clients; not only was I managing day-to-day operations but wanted to grow and scale my business.
Flash forward to 2019 I outgrew my rental location and knew it was time to experience a different salon culture to better round myself before my next big career move.
On October 1st, 2019 my biggest dream finally became my reality. I opened HUSH Salon & Spa in a beautiful, federal style building in Brewer, ME!
Industry education is what fuels my passion. I love attending trade shows and classes and tuning into the unlimited professional hairstylist content available online.

Outside of the salon, I enjoy life with my husband and two dogs, Baxter and Katahdin, on our 60 acre farm in Bucksport.
During the warmer months, we keep busy tending to 3,500sq ft of gardens, canning, raising meat birds and egg laying chickens. In the cooler months hubby is either harvesting trees for firewood or battling the snow around our property and 1/2 mile long driveway while I'm in the kitchen prepping meals for our 4 chest freezers and cooking up some simple, yet delicious dishes that we grew ourselves.
We're fairly new homeowners and are working on renovating our home and land, doing all of the work ourselves. If we ever have free time we love sneaking in some camping, hiking, waterfowl hunting, fishing and kayaking!
